So stoked to be representing the FAM officially now. I am proud to be part of the new "ZONTRAC Contributer's Team". Thanks guys! ZONTRAC is cooking up some good stuff again...
"It's time to introduce the ZONTRAC contributors team - In the next couple of months we will add some of the well known fixed gear photographers, artist and people we like...to be part of this team."

After spending the week in San Jose we packed up our stuff and drove down to Long Beach to meet up with the boys from the Fixie Factory. Very similar to San Jose, there was a big scene, a bunch of good riders and a very welcoming vibe in the air. Everybody was siked to see Gomok, and how he rides. Oscar Khan had been in the area a year before and was down with everybody, making the atmosphere even warmer and funnier. You already know, if Oscar's around, your up for a bunch of laughs. Staying at the Fixie Factory was also a really nice experience. There was always interesting people around, chillin, having discussions, playing video games, looking at edits, or whatever. A nice hang out place. Unfortunately my stay in LBC was limited to 3 days, but I do plan on staying longer this year. Here are some impressions from those 3 days.

Mid 2012 I went to California with Simon Gomok and Thomas Poignant from Soundtrack Paris. Our first Location was San Jose. Oscar Khan from the Ninja Cats London was there aswell on his own. The Grime guys were nice enough to welcome us all at their place, the "Traphouse". The whole crowd was extremely nice and welcoming, which made the 5 days we were there a lot of fun. Good riding, good spots, a big scene, terrific weather and nice people, were the perfect ingredients to make me a happy camper with a camera.

I met Mike Dinh in his hometown, Long Beach, last year. We chilled outside on the porch a lot, when we were not out riding and taking photographs with the others. A fun time, he truly is a nice guy to be around. I was bummed out when I heard that he is quitting FGFS, I hope it's just a short-term decision, something temporary. That last edit was so dope! I would love to see more of Dinh in the future. Here are a couple photos I took of him during a session. BTW he made some $$$ smashing through that water.

The Red Hook Criterium is a Fixed Gear Street Race which has become very popular over the last few years. Originating from Brooklyn NYC, it made it's way to Europe three years ago, to Milano. According to David Trimble, the organizer and creator of the event, the unique format of the race has attracted riders from many different cycling genres and countries. I flew out to Milano to have a peek at the action. Props go out to Greg Falski and Stefan from 8Bar. Congrats to the winners and thanks to the organizers for this nice event.
Westjam is a international Fixedgear Freestyle Jam held in Lisboa Portugal. The event was hosted by The Grime and Choose Clothing this Year. The man behind most of the organisation is Ricardo Lino. Him and his boys from Choose Clothing made this event a real pleasant and fun FGFS contest with international riders and Visitation.
4 DAYS OF BLOOD AND GLORY...ZONTRAC & FRIENDS IN BARCELONA. The "Death of Barcelona" trip was initially planned to be a lot smaller trip, but it evolved to an amazing get-together of riders from all over the globe. 4 Days of riding one of the most "rideable citys" in Europe with an enormous vibe. Each rider feeding of another, pushing each other to higher levels and having a ton of fun. A couple of bones got broken aswell.
I visited Sol Smith and his click in his Hometown London. Sol and Lewis Berril took me along and showed me a normal day in the life of a "Ninja Cat". It was a very interesting glance and a great way to experience London. Props go out to Sol, Lewis, Jordan, Oscar, Hector, and Gus.
Beginning of October Ruben Bauer (Superbeau) and I drove up to Hamburg, to be at the "WE DON'T CARE" Fixed Gear Freestyle Contest. The Guys from Suicycle organized the event and everything around it, from spotguiding to accommodation. They did a terrific job in making us feel welcome, offering a fun Contest and just generating a warm and friendly spirit.
EuroBike takes place once a year in Friedrichshafen and is one of the world's leading exhibitions for the bike industry. For the first time a 200m Sprint and a Fixed Gear Freestyle Contest was introduced to the event spectrum. Alot of European riders, and even 2 well known riders from Japan, came out to take part and have a good time.
